so here is the thing..
I have been having this problem for quite a while
whenever i plug in my headphones my microphone gets disconnected which is 

Microphone(realtek high definition audio)
however when i disconnect my headphone it just starts working perfectly..
my headphone and microphone are on the same headset

Do you have the realtek audio manager? Go in to there and see if something pops up when you connect anything.
