Hello, i just bought a Phanteks P400A Digital case. I'm still a noob in the PC building world. In fact this is going to be my first ever build. So lets go to the point okay. I'm a bit confused on how i power the fan, or i did not know that i understand it. What i believe i should do is connect the cable with the label "M/B DRGB" (or something similar to that) to the mother board and then connect the individual 3 pin fan connector to the motherboard. If what i understand is right, I'm going to buy a 3 pin fan cable splitter. If what i understand is wrong, please enlighten me. For your information, i don't have the motherboard yet. I'm going to get it on next Tuesday. The motherboard have a 3 system fan header.

the 3-pin is for powering the fan itself. It connects to your motherboard fan headers. a 4-pin fan header CAN connect to a 3-pin fan, you'll need to change a BIOS setting (change the header mode from PWM to DC) for speed control.

the DRGB is for controlling the RGB, and you plug it into a motherboard with a DRGB connector.

look here for the difference between RGB (12v) and DRGB(5v)
