Hi,

I have got XPS 15 9570 with 56Wh. I bought 97Wh battery from GreenCell (in dell 6GPTY were unavailable) and there is a problem. Laptop doesn't start without charger being plugged in. When it boots to windows i can unplug charger and it works fine. Can anyone tell me what to do about that?

It's already 2nd GC battery. With 1st one problem was exactly the same.

The battery is either defective or the protections are kicking in to prevent you from hurting yourself with an exploding corrosive acid filled battery.

Do NOT use cheap Chinese batteries in such capacities unless you want chemical burns

Just now, MILWIS said:

GreenCell was the best I could find. Dell doesn't provide their own batteries so where should I have bought it from?

Contact Dell support and ask them. Or contact a Dell authorized service centre and buy from them.

Green cell is a good place to get explosives, not computer parts.
