Hey guys

So, today a friend of mine asked me if I could re-install the windows on his asus a54c(i3 model)

He had win7 ultimate x64 so I installed the same windows but when it finished installig it went into a reboot loop

the laptop shows the asus logo "screen" then it appears a quick "windows is loading files" screen; like this: windows_loading.gif

(I don't think that this screen should appear. yes, it appears without any cd in the laptop too)

after this screen, the windows appears to start normally  but after the windows loading screen

it should show the welcome screen, but it doesn't.

It shows an asus wallpaper(even when I reinstalled the windows) but no taskbar or icons.

after about 1 minute it restarts

(what did I do wrong?)

Also, when I choose on what partition to install windows, there are 3 partitions:

Partition C(the one with the old windows)

Partition D(movies, games, music)

and another partition named something like this: emergency restore which is 25gb

So, what should I do?

P.S.: yes, I have a windows7 key if you are asking

Thanks for your time ! :)

reinstall do a custom install and wipe everything get rid of the partitions unless he wants multiple ones also remember to change your boot order before it restarts otherwise it will do a continuous loop.

yes, I tried to change the boot order but the same thing happened

tomorrow I will try to whipe everything, just let's hope that he doesn't have any important stuff
