12v Aura Sync

whats the point of 12v 4 pin headers when most of Aura Sync what not only works with 5v 3 pin, I'm I stuck in the dark ages or something? or is this proprietary to Asus?

4pin 12v in non a rgb.  Do you mean what's the purpose of the header? Because it's not dead and people still use it.

12v to 5v and the other way around? You can get a controller if you want.

my motherboard has 12v RGB headers, most every thing only works with 5v rgb headers, wound I just use the rgb pins or do I have to get a hub

You can just get an RGB hub/controller.

Well if the strip is 5v. Then the strip would be fried because you're connecting it to a 12v header.
