hi Thanks for replying. There's a big mark on the right hand side of the screen that displays brighter, I'll send another pic as it shows better on white

I'm sorry, the best advice i can give you is to take it to a computer technician or claim warranty if possible.

I hope someone else is able to help you tho, good luck!

That looks like either some moisture came in or dust or just too much pressure at that point.

With a screen cleaning cloth you can try to "massage" the location gently and see if it helps.

Other then that the only option is to replace the screen.

Anything related to your GPU/iGPU/cable connection in the hinge would show up as a straight line or block. This looks like it was crushed with a thumb.

Hi, I just signed up  to comment here
I know this post was created 3 years ago.

I have a Inspiron 7559, I have been using it happily. I just carried it for a few days in its original box. When I came to home, I see a lightened area on the screen exactly looks like the picture you shared. But the area on mine is on the left side of the screen. Did the defect on your screen appear by itself while the computer on the desk? For my case, I don't think I damaged my screen, because I was really careful while carrying it. Thanks. @SupaDupaToby
