Hello all, before I go crazy I need all the help I can.

Just built a new system, B450m Pro 4, 1660 Super, R3 3300x.

Problem is that I don't get any audio from the pc on the audio jacks, but if I plug the hdmi cable on the graphics card, I get audio on the TV/Monitor I'm using.

Did all the basics including uninstalling the NVIDIA audio drivers, messing with realtek stuff, new drivers from mobo page, all of it.

No clue how to fix it, any help would be immensely appreciated

Ok try this

Go to desktop

Go mouse right click (Drop Menu ) -- go  Display setting

Go to --Sound

Just below -- Master volume , Trouble shoot

Go -- Manage sound Devices

At the Output Devices you should see your Monitor / Tv --Click on it and --Disable

Hope this help

Sorry, didn't work, already done something similar.

When I troubleshoot the only device there (Realtek audio - Speaker) it tells me that the connector is located in the back of the computer, but even when I unplug the cable, the device remains active.

Heard something about NVIDIA drivers and motherboard drivers, but all configs of drivers I try don't work.

Could it be a faulty motherboard? I hope not since there is audio coming out of it.

Also saw somewhere that I would be required to obtain a usb audio card of sorts (maybe a dongle, new to this type of stuff). Could it solve the issue?

EDIT: If required I could provide screenshots of my audio configs to clarify stuff :)
