Hello,

I bought some used parts and I got everything assembled and I push the power button, the fans will spin and the power LED comes on, but I don't get anything on the monitor. No splash screen saying press delete to enter BIOS. I reset the CMOS with the jumper and the battery and neither worked. The vga cable and monitor also worked I checked them. Anything else I should try?

I am using the onboard graphics.

Powersupply?

It could be anyone of those parts, but I do not have any machine to put them in to test separately.

Plug in a motherboard speaker so you can audibly hear if the system is posting or not.  Just to clarify by motherboard speaker I'm talking about the one you plug into the pins on your board.

Also if you have another computer try your psu in that computer to make sure your psu isn't the issue.

Other issues could be a bad ram stick or a bad ram slot (try different configs),  bad sata port (unplug all the sata ports), or a bad pci slot (unplug all pci devices).

I do not have a motherboard speaker.

I might be able to try putting the PSU in a different system, it would not harm the system right?

I have nothing in the pci slots or sata ports, just trying to get the system to post and get into bios.

I will try different ram configs and also an old gpu if I can find one laying around.

When you run out of stuff you can try then RMA the board if possible.  And no the PSU won't harm the other system.

Ok, thanks for the help.
