Budget (including currency): 100,000PHP / roughly 2,000 USD

Country: Philippines

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Current Games: Mortal Kombat 11, Injustice 2, Witcher 3, Dark Souls, Plague Tale: Innocence, Red Dead Redemption 2, Sims 4

Future planned games to purchase: Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us 2, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077

I'm not installing all of them at the same time so I can save up on storage on the SSD.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I'm not in a rush to buy all of them right now, so I can still save up or change some things along the way.

I'm upgrading from a 3 year old ROG GL553VD laptop. This time, I want to be able to play my games at max settings, or at the least, high settings.

Here are some things I already have:

  • RAM: Gskill Trident Z RGB 3600mhz 32gb 16gbx2 DDR4 (new)
  • PSU: Corsair RM850 850W 80+ Gold Fully Modular (new)
  • Storage: I have a Samsung 512Gb M.2 SSD and a 4TB Seagate HDD. Both almost 2 years old.
  • Monitor: GAMDIAS ATLAS HD275C 27 INCH CURVED 144HZ FREESYNC. I plan to add another one to be the main gaming screen and make my old one a side monitor for browsing, etc. Suggestions are welcome.
  • Keyboard, Mouse, Headset: I have the normal, non-gaming ones that i can use for the moment, but suggestions are welcome. I plan to buy them by next year.
  • Controller: Xbox 360 Wireless. Around 3 years old but still works. Should I keep or replace with something better?

Here are some things I plan to buy in the coming weeks/months: (note: the parts chosen are also available locally in my city, and Amazon also delivers here)

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FrCrk6

Questions:

  1. Are these planned parts just enough to play the games in max settings or can some of it be lower and still play at max?
  2. Is a separate purchase of CPU Cooler required or is the cooler that comes with the CPU package already enough? I did put one in my PCpartpicker list, and is that enough or should I add other fans?
  3. Any suggestions to what cleaning kits to have for the maintenance?

Thank you in advance for your advice. :)

what resolution are you playing at?

things to note:

- you dont need a crosshair, a b550 tommahawk or b550-f should do the work just fine

- get a case with better airflow something like a phanteks p300a/p400a or meshify c will work great

- no need for a expensive AIO a NH-D15 or NH-U12s will work wonders

also if you are planning to build something this high end, would strongly suggest waiting for zen 3 and nvidia ampere

you don't need such an expensive cooler, a $50 air cooler like the arctic freezer 34 duo would be enough.

similarly, the motherboard is overpriced and overkill for the cpu. a$150 b550 board will be fine.

the case is crap with bad airflow, get one with a mesh front, like the fractal design meshify C.

with the savings on the cooler and motherboard you can get a 2080 super.
