Flat Angled Sata Connectors

Hi guys, the first of many posts on this forum. Very excited to be starting a new build soon which will be well documented and posted in the build log section.

 

In the meantime though, I am tracking down parts for this build and was wondering where/if it is possible to get these angled sata connectors:

Whenever I try to google them I just get standard right angled connectors. Is there a special name for them?

Also I live in New Zealand so someone who ships internationally without paying triple for shipping would be nice...

Very interesting. I did some searching around and found only one place that sells them - German eTailer known as DeLock.

You can find their listing here, although I can't see where to purchase them.

I've honestly never seen SATA connectors that shape before.

Correction - here is an English website (sort of) that sells them.

However, they are SATA II!  :angry:

Ahh! Well that settles where google found the image...

 

I really want them for a super clean look for the cables to my BR drive and Hdd as they are facing forward and flat cables do not bend flat radius very nicely.

Hmm interesting.. It would be nice if they are available in black, also they could help with keeping the cabling clean by not having any kinks to pass towards the back of the case.

That's a very interesting shape for a connector. It would make cable management a lot easier.

I wonder how they deal with the timing issues on that sort of cable, since all the wires are of different length ... maybe the wire with the tighest radius has a bit extra bunched up inside or something.
