Hi,

Since March, I have been working from home and it seems like this will be the case for the foreseeable future.

Because of this, my desk at home is now having to support two systems using the same peripherals and a whole lot of cables running amok.

I was hoping to get some ideas or advice from this forum to find a way to easily manage two systems with 1 set of peripherals

For work I am using a company issued-laptop (with a usb-c dongle) and for personal use I have a desktop PC.

My peripherals:

  • 2 x Monitors with HDMI input
  • 1 x Speaker with standard 3.5 mm jack
  • 1 x Keyboard (USB A input)
  • 1 x Logitech C922 webcam (USB A input)
  • 1 x additional usb device (USB A input) - ideally i would like two generic usb input, but at least 1 is fine for now.
  • 1 x mouse (USB A input)

Ideally I am looking for something like a KVM switch which will allow me to easily switch between my two systems without having to disconnect and reconnecting all my peripherals. But don't know enough about them and can't seem to find something that supports two hdmi monitor output.

*the company doesn't let me download softwares solutions without complicated approval

Any suggestion would be appreciated:)

Isaac

Hmm yeah thanks. But since i am using dual monitor setup, I would probably have to have one of these and another one specific for the second monitor.

Seems like dual monitor input/output option is very rare, or very expensive....
