Hard Drive Problem

Hey, i have a problem with my external HDD and i don't know how to fix it. Shows that it has 0 mb, event viewer says it has Event 7, i can't verify with chkdsk(cmd) because hdd doesn't have a letter and disk management says: Error Cyclic redundancy check... I formatted it with cmd but nothing

One thing you can try. I am not sure if it will work.

 

Use Windows 10 install tool . Do not install windows . Go to the location were you see the drives.   If your external drive is connected you should be able to format in this location. 

 

You can see and example in YouTube, " How to do a clean install of Windows 10 "

This means that the checksum (integrity check) of the data didn't add up. Could you download, install and provide a screencap of CrystalDiskInfo please?

The program doesn't see the hdd.
