As others have suggested, there is no need for a Z87 based motherboard if you are not getting an unlocked cpu. Nor do you need an aftermarket cooler. The stock cooler will do a good job. A GTX 770 would also be a good addition.

You can always get an after market cooler if you find the stock cooler too loud. At full speed it is loud, but then so is any cooler. Otherwise it is reasonably quiet.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

If he was trying to go mITX, as his first build was, AMD won't get him there. (IDK if he was going that route for fun, or because he needed to.

 

Please don't get the Prodigy for a mITX, it's HUGE. The same size as most Mid Tower cases...
