New edge > chrome (?)

Can anyone tell me if the new chromium based edge would consume less power than chrome? As chrome is really chewing down my battery life thanks!

I know it does consume less ram though, but just wondering about it's power consumption and speed compared to chrome.

It should be a little less bloaty than Chrome, but to what degree is hard to tell.  Try Firefox maybe?

Itz lighter than chrome at this point in time. Should consume less power. 

 

Try it, see how it behaves.

Consumes power? Is this on laptop or mobile? Either way, the question is which uses less CPU. Neither is directly tapped to battery.
