When I try to play Minecraft it lags and the blocks glitch out like when I just finish breaking it down it reappears right back where it was.

My PC Specs:

Windows 8.1 pro

Intel 3770K

EVGA GTX 670 superclock

16gb of ram

I tried different things and I only run Minecraft when I play it. I still get what I said above. Can anybody help me?

If this is happening on a server, it's either your connection speed or the server's. If it's a local world, try reinstall/updating java like other people suggested.
