Screen tearing

So I cant run Freesync and Gsync just because I have the best card in the 900 series but I do have a very good monitor and specs, so My question is if My monitor is running 165hz and the game is running 60fps or 120 (faster than what the game is running) will be there still screen tearing right?

If You turn on V-sync, there will be no tearing. At 165Hz monitor, without FreeSync/Gsync , when your card can render not stable for example 61-82FPS is better to select 60Hz mode on monitor, turn on frame limit 60 FPS (for constant FPS) in drivers, and turn on V-sync.

 

ps. frame limit+V-sync give lower LAG than V-sync without frame limit
