I'm planning on crossfire and overclocking.

 

You would still be more than fine with a 750w, maybe even 650w. And 170 dollars for a 80Plus Gold seems quite expensive, have a look at the Seasonic G-750, all you need, and then some.

 

edit:

Throw an SSD in there. In my opinion every build with that budget should have one. Have a look at the Samsung 840 EVO, 120 or 250 GB. 

And I've never seen someone use that case before....

crossfire 270x? nooo,go for a better single gpu.

 

Two 270x & 8350 OC'd to 4.5ghz draws about 620w

 

so if you are worried get a 750w, 850w is just overkill.

620W with 2x 270x is extreme. an oc`ed 2011 i7 6 core & two 280x uses under 600W . 

 

270x uses 90W less than 280x. 270x is the kind of gpu that you can CF on a decent 550W psu  . so yeah 850w is just overkill,750W too. 750W is for 780 Tis in sli

look at my build above haha i have 750w but thats there if he wants to upgrade otherwise he can save his money and go with 600w
