[HELP] HDMI to VGA Adapter

Hey guys Im having a problem with my display after I plug in my hdmi to vga adapter to my gpu it first show a 1600x900 resolution but after a few blinks of no signal it limits my resolution to 1280x720 any possible fix for this?

PS: My GPU Drivers are up to date

Try plugging it in to a different HDMI port if your GPU has one. If that fails, you try setting your drivers back to the previous version. There should be an option for that on the Nvidia or and website. Or, go into advanced display settings as well, and figure out if the monitor is recognized as 1600 x 900. Finally, check that the onboard monitor resolution(if there is an option directly in the monitor's menu) is set to 1600 x 900. That is all I can think of at the moment. I may not respond after this.
