Hi LLTians,

So I basically took on an over ambitious media server project and decided to scrap my dual xeon setup. But I chose to retain the 3 6tb wd red drives and the 2 256 gb Kingston ssds from the server and throw them into my already fully functional gaming rig.

For this, I did have to get a pcie sata expansion card because I've already got 4, drives in the gaming system; 2*4tb Seagates and 2 samsung ssds.

When I first booted the pc. It displayed 3 out of my 4 original drives but booted windows fine. I believe I have plugged one of my old ssds into the new exp card hence it wasn't showing. I went online to download the drivers for the card and did that and restarted.

While restarting, It starts diagnosing windows on bootuo and trying to repair. I went into the bios and the ssds are showing but not the wd reds. Not sure how to proceed from here. I'm running a ryzen 7 2700, asus b450f strix mobo and the exp card is ths one I got off Amazon

I am not great at this stuff and don't know where to begin. Please help

Update: I am managing to boot now after ensuring the boot drive is linked to the mobi as opposed to the exp card. However I'm showing on hdd and 4 ssds. I'm still missing 3 HDDs. All 3 are powered by the same cable from the psu but aren't showing. 2 out of these 3 are wd reds 6,tbs and one is a seagate. I doubt it's a power issue but that seems like the onlly common factor. How can I test this? I have tried a few diff cables
