Ive been struggling to know why my fps in games is low since my pc build Until I started monitoring gpu usage so for example while playing apex legends and when in the lobby the gpu usage is 92% and cpu is fine at 40% to 60% but when i launch a public match the gpu usage drop to 50s and 60s % and precisly when i look at a heavily built area with tall buildings it drops to 50% and the fps lower significantly which should not happen when looking at my specs and i see people have same specs in benchmarks looking at the same area with a double of my fps and 90% + gpu usage . and btw not only in apex in many other games like fortnite etc ..
I really need to know whats causing this issue
Specs:
CPU: Amd Ryzen 2700
Ram: Crucial Ballistix 1*16 ddr4 3000 mhz
Gpu: Kfa2 Rtx 2060 super
Mobo: A320M-A PRO MAX
PSU:Corsair VS650
SSD:500 gb WD green (where i installed apex)

HDD: 1 tb WD blue

Ryzen REALLY,..and I mean REALLY REALLY REALLY Prefers DualChannel Ram, you are leaving stock performance on the table by not using DualChannel Memory configurations on Ryzen Processors.

1x16GB vs 2x16GB (Single vs Dual) can introduce uplifts in the 30-50% range in some titles... just from the second stick of memory.
I highly suggest grabbing another stick to create a dual-channel configuration.

Feel free to YT "Ryzen Single VS Dual RAM"

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

You are using a SINGLE 16GB stick of RAM, rather than in dual channel.

That will have an impact on Ryzen CPUs.

A320 board with a weak 3-phase VRM, and no passive/heatsink cooling.

If the VRMs on the motherboard is thermal throttling, then that will kill CPU performance.

I yt what u told me and luckily i found someone comparing apex with single channel vs dual and really meh there is no much of a difference like 5 fps or 10 at max and the gpu load is at 99 % or 100 the whole time even with single channel

Soo. i dont think its the problem

A320+2700 = fail.

Single channel ram = fail

Do you have VSync on?  VSync without adpative sync monitor can only give you 15, 30, or 60 FPS on a 60hz monitor.  If it cant hold 60 FPS, it drops to 30 even if you can maintain say 50 FPS.  VSync + the other system build problems would make for a lot of bad performance.

Be mindful YT'ers don't have your exact HW config either...
It could be VRMs throttling the CPU a bit if they can't keep up with your 2700, 3Phase, I'd only use a 65w Chip Max, and you have, but it uses more than 65w under load (in use above base clock)

The usage drops could be VRM based throttling,...moreso than the Singlechannel RAM, but the RAM came to mind first.

No i disabled All vsync related stuff i have only gsync enabled and i tried to disable gsync no difference so i kept it on

And im planning to change to dual channel but i think a320 with 2700 is fine

Ok im planning to upgrade to dual channel ill try it and i will see if it makes a difference

and indeed i noticed in some games in ytb benchmark gpu usage in single channel ram is 50 and dual channel is like 99 Thx

Have you only one memory module? If so, this is surely a big problem to keep high gpu usage (up to 30% less GPU usage than usually it's expected and also severe spikes and microstuttering). Duall Channel is absolutely necessary for gaming, specially on VGA cards like RTX2060.

Not only that. This motherboard doesnt have any VRM heatsink and maybe its making Ryzen 2700 descrease performance.  So maybe it's happening to you, which is not too much expected on medium load on CPU, only on something close to full load.

What resolution that you're playing?
