Software Controlled Fan Controllers?

Hi all,

 

I'm currently looking at what options I have to replace my NZXT Grid+ v3.  Because CAM is terrible and NZXT has admitted there is a problem in which the CAM software currently doesn't function properly with the V3 and I have a feeling its not going to be fixed any time soon.

 

I need a controller that has external power (preferably SATA) and can control 3 pin fans.  It would also be nice if it was similar in form factor to the grid v3 because I have an ITX setup that only has one fan header and I need to power 5  Darkside Gentletyphoon AP-72s.

Corsair Commander Pro, but they retired the Corsair Link software, which imo was their best thing. Their new software probably still works tho.

I've always just used the BIOS settings or something like this

That hub works with both 3 and 4 pin.

Does it convert the PWM signal to voltage control or something then?

Cuz I figured non PWM fans would be at 100% wouldn't they?

EDIT: Silverstone says 3 pin fans are not speed controlled on that hub.

If your motherboard can control 1 fan with voltage control the hub should work with all of the fans.

It will run them all at the same speed, but it will work.

 

EDIT - I know amazon says it will run 3 pin fans at 100%, but that's if you leave the fan header it's plugged into in PWM mode and voltage mode.  The motherboard has to have this option.

Or there is this kind of thing.  You'll need a splitter to run multiple fans though.
