I just built a new rig and I am having major problems overlocking my RAM with Asus' DOCP profile.

Specs are:

Ryzen 5 3600

B450-F ROG STRIX

Corsair RGB Pro 16GB 3200Mhz

MSI 2070Super Ventus

Corsair 650M

So after a couple times trying to set the DOCP profile and not getting the 3200MHz I put everything on default at which point my computer crashed and I had to restore Windows in order for it to work. It was frastruating to say the least and I am wondering if it is the RAM causeing this problems and if I should return it. The RAM is currently running at 2133MHz and I don't want to touch the DOCP settings again in case it crashes.

Any advice on what to do?

Thank you in advance.

A couple of things

Put the ram in slot 2 or 4 or whichever slot that allows you to use dual channel ( look at the manual )

Now

Update the bios

Set the soc to 1.1

Dram to 1.35

Set it to 3200

If it boots

Use memtest86 and OCCT to verify that it's stable

If you have any over clock remove it just to avoid FCLK limitations  ( not including XFR)

If it boots and you verified it's stable

Set your over clock profile back again and check if it's stable

Good luck ;)

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

4.2 is normal for a 3600

Either way as I said if you have XFR don't worry about it

Just do the things I listed above

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.
