soo I am a HUGE newbie when it comes to this.

My friend was telling me I should start mining for bit coin, he was telling me its a handsome pay out if I am smart.

I just want to know if its worth it from people who are more experienced. I am not paying for electricity so I don't really care about that of that is anything of worth.

But the questions are

  1. Is it worth it for someone who isn't going hardcore
  2. Would it be smart it have an all on one pc, one for my normal use (gaming, workstation, school work) not for effectivce but for life if the computer
  3. Are cpus the tread for it now? If I get a threadripper instead of whatever gpus would it be beneficial?
  4. How long would it take to get one coin if it is only mine like 10 hours a day everyday (on average i understand hardware is a factor)
  5. Is internet speed a factor?

Thank you!

Not even worth the time to explain why it's a dead end. Coin mining in a desktop machine is long dead, especially for Bitcoin.

That's what I read a while a go. Its only viable for large companies with the resources, but my friend was swearing by it lol.

I guess its now for servers or work benches?
