Protection from ip pullers/booters ?

I had a friend who said he knew how to boot and all that jazz . We are no longer talking . He is a petty child lol , so is there any protection from this maybe happening? And if it dose happen is there a way for me to block it but still see the fact it tried to happen?

The hell is an IP pullers/booters? What do you mean he "knew how to boot" ?

 

How is he supposed to get your IP ? Unless he can hack one of the services that you use or you "play" with him in a shitty game with craptastic servers that leak the IPs, he shouldn't have any way to

He downloaded Wireshark and LOIC and now he is a hacker :)

Other than not giving them your IP ? Not much really. You could use a VPN to avoid "leaking" your IP, if they don't have it already, going forward.

Worst case, even if they do somehow DDOS you, you simply need to give your ISP a call, have your IP changed and suddenly you're free... To beat their ass.
