Lapping question

Hi everyone,

 

Looking into some videos I noted that the die is not completed sealed by the silicone. Would water be able to enter and contact the little exposed pads close to the die?

When using water you want to use distilled because it wont have minerals to worry about leaving deposistes. 

 

Alcohol is best however. Dries fast and wont leave depsoites.

 

Use only 4 dots at each corner to glue the IHS plate. This makes it easy to remove the plate later but able to remove the cpu from the socket.
