6700k Core 2 overheating

I just did a Cinebench r20 run. I am getting a massive difference in temp between cores. I have looked online and it says that 10 degrees difference is normal, but im getting up to almost 30 degrees difference.

I have a corsair H100i cooler, which I have re-applied and made sure its on correctly.

Anyone have any idea what my issue could be?

I have tested that, i spun the CPU and it is even...

Yeah, this isn't a problem with your cooler. It's a problem under the hood, so to speak.

 

A de-lid may be the only way to fix it.

have you used other software to make sure it isn't a bad read?

Could be the thermal paste under the ihs is dried out or was a poor application by intel. I’d delid it

It's pretty easy. Lots of resources available to show you what to do. I think Der8auer has videos that go over the process.

 

I'd practice on a spare CPU you may have first. That's what I did to calm my nerves the first time.
