first time builder looking for advice

so i don't know wether to put this on the gpu or workbench area, but i was wondering about a few things. first of all i wanted to know what the best graphics card for my upcoming $1,000 build would be. i was also wondering about wether or not there is a big enough difference between the rtx 2070 super, and the rx 5700xt to spend more money on the nvidia card, and which one will be better future proofed for next gen games and also competitive with the ps5 and series x.
