sounds like Coil Whine which is 100% normal in a lot of machines.

Its hard to explain, but basically it has to do with the frequency the power is running through the power components cause them to resonate, or vibrate and its that what you're hearing.

I have rather sensitive ears and I experience this next to most electronics (alarm clocks, most power supplies, TVs, even some lights...). Some things are more susceptible to this than others. You might just have to deal with it unless it is a different issue.

PC is making a humming/buzzing noise that is ringing in my ears its so feint but i can hear it, it goes away for 5 seconds everytime i open a program or UAC pops up for me to accept?

I have the same noise with my GPU lol but for some reason my cpu cooler (wraith stealth) is way louder so i dont really hear the annoying noise rather i just hear the cpu cooler which doesn't have an annoying sound at all its just loud.

If it is indeed Coil Whine in your Motherboards VRMs. The only way to get rid of it is to exchange the Motherboard and hope that the fresh one does not do this.

I have talked to people sending back 2-3 technically perfectly fine Motherboards to their local retailer because of the same "issue".

Why do people post irrelevant posts like the one you just did, is it to seem cool and gain attention?

I've never been 100% sure on the correct use of the word irony, but I think that reply qualifies.

We post stuff like that because we have a slight hint of a sense of humour.

1 out of the 5 replies you got with help and you complain about someone having some banter.

people dont just go on forums to help you, a hint of it is get a smile from reading things like what marbo wrote.

so no need to get nasty.

Why is my computer humming?

Because it hasn't been programmed with the words.

Sorry, I'll get my coat.

took me a second to get that, i might have to steal this one.

honestly this forum is great and it helped me through many issues with my first build lol. It's just his issue is really particular and not really "fixable" if it is just coil whine. he really just has to return the hardware causing it , the only  fix.
