I have been using a cheap mechanical keyboard for about a year now but it has recently stopped typing. I think it was a driver issue as it stopped working right after I updated drivers. My keyboard says the brand is Dierya but nothing else. I have been searching everywhere for a model or anything so I could try and find the original drivers. I have found an Amazon listing that I am 99% sure is the keyboard that I will attach. Eventually I just restarted Windows and the problem still persists. This has been a really frustrating experience, so I'm just submit this here hoping I don't break any rules or anything.

I'd suggest to do the following:

  1. Plug the keyboard into another USB-Port.
  2. Check the device manager for input devices/ "Human Interface Devices" (with the keyboard plugged in). There you should also be able to see info about the driver you're using.
  3. If you have another computer at hand: Try the keyboard with your other machine.

Good luck :)

Thanks for the info, but I have already tried all of these. And when I put it in another computer it does work. So I just was thinking that I will put the keyboard into another computer and send my main computer the original drivers, it may work.

Usually standard parts like keyboards, mice and the like don't require more than the basic drivers to function (fancy extras like setting RGB probably won't work with these standard drivers, though).

Having spoken about the device manager in my last post: Have you tried re-installing the driver for your keyboard from there?
