RGB Compatibility?

So, I just bought Fractal's Prisma AL14 fans for my case.

One of the reasons I chose these fans is because they are advertised as being compatible with MSI's Mystic Light software. My motherboard is the MSI x470 Gaming Plus, which has "Mystic Light" logos all over its documentation.

So I was rather annoyed when I got the fans and found that they had a 3 pin RGB header that doesn't match up with anything on the motherboard (the two RGB headers on this board are both 4 pin)

Maybe it's my fault for not reading close enough on all the details and specs (I'm new to the RGB world, so I just assumed that the Mystic Light logo would mean that the physical connectors would match up), but all that aside....is there a way to get the RGB working on these fans through software (Doesn't have to be Mystic Light)? Some controller that can serve as a go-between from a 4 pin to a 3 pin? I really wanted to avoid some setup with physical buttons or a remote control.

So you've run into main issue with RGB. The fans are ARGB/DRGB (individually Addressable) and mobo supports only regular RGB.

Yes, it's probably your fault. You could return fans and get something which works. If you go for controller/adapter route, it will be more expensive.

Controllers are both expensive, and have limited compatibility. EK Loop Connect is probably the best bet for ARGB controller with software. The adapter is from Deepcool and might not be available yet.
