So for my sons Birthday, I just bought him a Ryzen 5 3600 and an ASRock B450 Pro4. He has a Corsair CX850M Power Supply, and will have G.Skill Trident Z 16BG (F4-3200-16D-16GTZR) for memory. I would have gotten a video card but it was not in the budget so he is going to have to buy it himself. What he has now I think is either an old RX480 or RX580 Sapphire Nitro, I am not sure which. But anyway, I want to recommend a new card to him so he can have a faster PC and can play better games. His budget I can not say what it is. He has a job and as far as I know does not spend much unless he is buying a lot of online line games. But I want to try and keep it modest or decent so he is not spending too much. With this knowledge, what direction would you push? And please don't say wait for the 3000 series. They are going to be be too much.

GTX 1660 or a Radeon RX5600 would be the best IMO.

at 1080p 60hz , rx480/580 is almost maxed out

MSI Optix MAG321CURV 32" (Actual size 31.5") 3840 x 2160 4K 60Hz

It is a newer monitor. Much better than mine.
