Budget (including currency): 1000 - 1300 euro's

Country: The Netherlands

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gta v, csgo, Adobe Pr, Adobe Ps, Assassins creed

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I'm kind of having a hard time with choosing the right parts that could fit in de budget. Not planning on upgrading for a couple of years after building. Not a fan of rgb that is why it is not in here. I want to play at 1440p and  around 70fps. This is my first time building a pc so i'm really forward to what you guys think.

The plan for now:

- AMD ryzen 5 3600 or 7 3700

- NVIDIA 1660 or 1080 ti or 2060

- MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX

- Corsair vengeance 16gb ddr4

- Seagate 2TB HDD

- Looking for a reasonable m.2 drive (preferably around 1 TB)

- NZXT H510 black/white

Tips are welcome!

R7 3700

1080 ti

I personally got the msi b450 pro carbon ac. As it has extra feature. Even tho it's not a max series board it has a bios update feature that can update the bios without a cpu. I choose this board because in a year I did want to be like "I wish I had "x"".

The 1080 ti is still a beast of card. The dude cores will help with APR.

Should have a r7 3700 over the r5 3600

I have built in this case, it's fine. I also always recommend a SFF build if I can, which I did. Case is personal choice, OP can get whatever he wants, so that's not a valid point to criticize someone's recommendation on, scrappy doo.

There is no such thing as a 3700, only a 3700x. You have it confused with the previous gen 2700 and older 1700. Shows how much you know.

You don't need anything more than a b85 board to power a 6-core zen 2 chip which only draws 65w. It'll even handle a conservative overclock, and it has VRM heatsinks, making it better than most budget B450 boards. Also, the chances that it's been on the shelf so long that it doesn't ship with the updated BIOS are so low they're virtually nonexistent.

3600mhz RAM costs more and has much higher latency. To get CL17 or CL16 3600 RAM you have to spend €30 more. For what, an imperceptible difference in performance below 1%?

You don't know what you're talking about.

The case isn't that great which you can check the review over at gamers nexus.

You are right it is a 3700x. Not confused just a lazy typo.

The ram is debatable.

The motherboards phases and cooling is fine, but the feature set is meh that's all.

Yeah but how much of that do you need

Okay, fine, 3600 CL 19 or Cl20 RAM for $10 more or something, whatever.

Once again, the case is personal. Gamers nexus may have hated it, I thought it was fine. I even included other recs.

Also OP put games before editing, so I put GPU before CPU. If this is primarily an editing PC, then something like 3900x and Rx 5700.

That's for him to decide.

Appearance is personal, I like it too almost bought one, but air flow is not good especially for putting a 2080 in there. A p300a would be way more sutable.

GPU before Cpu for gaming I can agree with that for the most part.
