Need help with Diagnosis

I am hoping this issue sounds familiar to someone. My sons computer will randomly stop displaying video, the power button and reset button stop working no matter how long you hold them down, the keyboard stops working, but yet the computer is still on and running ie.. lights, fans etc... The only way to fix it is to do a hard power off at the power supply. When it reboots it runs fine. Seems to do this at least once a day. I have checked the temps and they are well within limits even while gaming.

A couple months ago when this started i decided to do a few upgrades to see if that fixed it and it did not. The mobo, processor, power supply, and GPU have all been replaced. I have hit a wall and need help.

Seems like the only major components that have stayed the same are the memory and the storage, I would look at the memory first. What are your specs? Is XMP enabled?

Ok, a long shot...

The wall power plug.

If you are plugging directly into the wall for power, try another plug.

If you have a power strip, try connecting directly to the wall or another power strip.

Corsair CX650M Bronze

It is currently plugged in to a surge protector, but used to be direct to the wall and has done it in both. The surge protector is not plugged into the same wall outlet.

Ok, see if the CPU cooler is put on too tight... that has been known to be an issue.

Also, the B450 is a MB that is prone to a lot of failure...

But, check the Cooler first.

If you have the option, try to get any other compatible MB other than B450.
