Intel Haswell

Is the intel haswell i7 4770k worth getting

if you were going to do a new build when it come out

over the 3770k.

 

And will the haswell fit on the 1155 boards like the z77 or will you have

to buy a new motherboard to.

i would wait for new generation since its launch is near by

an Haswell cpu WONT work on previous generation motherboards because haswell is LGA1150 (Z77 is 1155)

yes you need a new motherboards. also if i was buying a cpu and a motherboard around the time it was coming out i would just get it just because the price isnt that different.

Dont switch at most youll see like a 3-5 % increase with tasks not worth 400 or 600 more dollars but amd has some cool stuff in the making so wait for that.

From what I heard, socket 1150 will be coming out, so I assume that Haswell will be using that format rather than the 1155 socket.

I don't think ram will change and I would wait for Haswell to release before buying a new pc.

I would wait till the 3rd or 4th gen before upgrading from sandy or ivy

You will need to buy a new motherboard, but if you can do that I recommend waiting since it's only about a month away :)
