Hello, I want to start getting into pc gaming, I don’t know a whole lot about gaming hardware so I need someone to make me a pcpartpicker.

My budget is 1000 USD

I would like to play at 1080p 60fps

I will probably play games like rdr2 and gta v

And I already have peripherals and my monitor

I would prefer to have a nvidia gpu because I’ve heard about ray tracing and seen what it is and would like to play games with it.

Right now this is fine, but if you wait a little longer new b550 boards will be released on June 16 (which will be better, but maybe a little more expensive by like $30.  I suggest you do some research once they come out).  Most likely this b450 will be fine anyway.  Other places that can be changed is the power supply if you feel like it.  This one has PLENTY of power for what you need, fully modular, and 80+ gold rated meaning it is very efficient and won't drive up your electric bill.  Cases are generally up to preference and do not matter as much.  As long as the case is not suffocating your PC it is fine.  If you do plan on overclocking your PC (which I don't recommend if it is your first gaming PC) you will need to buy a better CPU cooler, but the stock one that comes with the CPU is great with stock speeds.  I recommenced you load the OS and any games you play often on to the SSD because load times will be much faster on them (That will help with RD2 and GTA).  Some parts may be hard to come by in a pandemic like this so keep your eye out if they are in stock.  You can always use any extra money you have on a better PC case or storage. (Or RGB if you want it). The RTX card I put on here will be able to run some RTX games, but keep in mind they will likely tank performance from like 150fps to 30-50fps.  This machine will be great with GTA and RD2 and should run them smoothly.

Also note that the case I chose was just a place holder and should probably be changed due to the front USB will probably not be usable because the motherboard does not support it.  if you need help finding another case do @Its N8 M8 and let me know.

I don’t care about the absolute best performance, so I probably won’t care too much about b550 or newer stuff. I probably will not upgrade for a long while. I saw a case which is the phanteks p400a, it looks like it has good ventalation and is only 70 dollars on Newegg.

This list is good too.  It will get you better performance on your RTX games.  However I would invest into some 3600 speed RAM because Ryzen CPUs really benefit from the extra speed.  If that adds too much to the budget, then you can probably cut the Hard drive capacity in half and/or downgrade your power supply to a semi or nonmodular one at the same wattage.  This has no effect on performance whatsoever, it is just that a fully modular powersupply makes everything look nicer.  You can always just stuff the cables in a hidden place.

I have heard great things about that case sounds like a good deal.  I would go with @AldiPrayogi 's list and add the RAM i had in my list, but if you need to cut some corners do it on the storage and powersupply modularity (not the rating or wattage).

I can push my budget to about 1200 usd so it should be fine, I wouldn’t like to spend that much but It’s fine.

Honestly for the PSU, just look at this list

and go for anything that is B or above and fits your budget and power draw and you should be fine.

I saw that a 2070 super is 500 dollars, which will bring me up to 1200 which I am ok with but the 2070 super is probably much better than the 2060 super and im willing to pay extra for more performance

Yes it is better, if you have the budget, go for the 2070 Super.

This one is great, but it looks like it is out of stock or overly priced at places.

The next best one I can find is this one which is also great.

I personally have a 2060 version of this card and it is great!

Ok thanks, I was hesitant to spend  more than 1000 dollars on my pc because I wanted to get more games, but i would rather have more performance rather than more games to be honest. I can get more games later.

This card actually comes with a free RTX game too which is cool.

100% agree.  You should have no problems with bottle necking either.

Why afe you recommending a 2060 super when a 5700xt is MUCH faster for cheaper? Ffs, it’s at 2070s levels of performance for less than a 2060s price.

In the original post I mentioned that I want ray tracing, not just raw performance
