Separate streaming pc ram

I'm going to be building a separate pc for streaming for extremely cheap (price-wise) and i was wondering how much ram i would need. im hoping to get 8gb but 4gb is much cheaper. and it's only for streaming for my larger rig,

8gb minimum, so 2x4gb for best performance.
I'd still get 16gb because the price is not much different if you're buying new and you can do much more with it.
