Hi,

I've a problem with my (case)fans. I had a while ago while gaming my cpu fan stoped working. After restart everything was fine. Today my casefans stoped (3 fans are connected on a single fan (systemfan 2).  Very weird because after restart everything is normal. My fans are 1 from fractal design and 2 from china (i know china but they where fine and bought a year ago)

Recently i upgraded my pc, my current specs are:

Gigabyte aorus x570 elite (running on version F12f)

Ryzen 7 3700x

16gb corsair ram

850 watt powersupply

I tried:

- Updating bios

- Update chipset

- Reinstalled gigabytes appcenter and siv5 (wich can controle fans)

Is this because of the splitter? (3 fans on 1 single port?) What could be the problem?

If you need more info, just let me know.

Hope you guys can help me out.

I have 3 Arctis fans all on one header with no issues.   2 other arctis fans are setup on another fan header.  All 5 fans are the same make/model and PWM/PST fans.

Sorry but I haven't encountered this problem before so I am not really sure how to help.   I can say that having 3 fans on one header should work though.

Do you have enough fan headers to put the fractal fan on 1 header and the other 2 fans on a different one?

@PyroTheWise I only have a cpu and cpu opt, systemfan 1 and 2

So i can try the fractal fan on the cpu opt, no idea if thats a good idea? But i can try that

Fans automatically stop at low CPU and GPU usage, to increase fan lifespan and achieve near silent operation at low loads.

This is normal.

Do they stop under heavy loads ?

If they do then you should be worried.

What are your temps at Idle and heavy loads like ?

@Void Master im worried because twice my cpu stoped while i was gaming, this was a while back. But now my casefans stoped working while gaming. Beside that, with siv i programed my fans casefan to be running at full speed all time (except for cpu fan)

Temps are 40 to 50 while idl

And while gaming around 60 and max 75, registerd with HWmonitor on my second monitor.

Temps seem okay, Can u try to control the temps from bios ?

I think you didn't understand me right, i mean. Im going to change the bios to control the temps.

Sadly the error is not constantly there, it happens sometimes so it will take some time to know if it will work.

But thanks for the help! @Void Master

It will most probably work, as sometimes gigabyte software has issues communicating will the BIOS.

For me the fan curves didn't even register. ( i did it in BIOS after all)

Yeah i goofed up...

I meant to control the fan curve....

But if it happens try to clear CMOS ( remove the battery for a 5 min the reinsert ).
