re-using thermal pads?

Hi everyone! o/

 

I just got new thermal compound for my CPU and wanted to also change the old thermal compound from my GPU (since I'm sure it hasn't been replaced in at least 4 years if not more).

 

I have tried taking it apart before but the thermal pads keep it together. Thing is, I'm not sure if i can re-use those or not because all I'm looking to do is replace the thermal compound.

In case you need to know, my GPU is the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Dual X With Boost (full name since there's like 3 different versions of it and I can't find a disassembly of my specific card).

 

So yeah, all I need to know is if I can re-use the thermal pads that are already on there or if I have to replace those as well.

As long as the pads are not ripped or damaged they can be reused.
