Hi, I need help to figure out why my pc is having fps drop from 60 to 30 sometimes 20 it happened after changing my monitor from 75hz hd 24 inch to 165hz fhd 27 inch. I already updated the drivers and scanned for viruses. My computer specs,

Mobo: Msi b450m bazooka

Cpu: Ryzen 5 2600

Ram:  corsair vengeance 16gb

Gpu: msi gaming z Rtx 2060 6 gb

Psu: 450 watts evga bronze

Cooler: corsair h60

Hdd: 2 tb toshiba

Ssd: 250gb western digital green

Case fans: 3

Old monitor: asus vg245h 75hz 1 ms 24 inch

New monitor: msi optix mag247r 1 ms 165 hz 27 inch hdr ready 1500r curve

I suspect the psu can't deliver enough power  both cpu and gpu and I do really appreciate the advice 🙏 👍

If this was the case, then the system would power off entirely. 450 W is tight but adequate.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora

Can it cause instability in power between the gpu and the cpu that results in fps drop since my 450 watts psu is a tight fit here?

Only if it's a cheap no-name unit with no overcurrent protection.

have you done any monitoring of the cpu or gpu? temps, and clocks

do you know what your ram is set too?

do you have the latest bios that supports your cpu?

Yes I do have a monitor software

My cpu idles between 35 to 40c when I'm playing it goes 60c, my gpu also goes 60c when under load.

My ram is set to 2400mhz standard

Yes I also updated my bios, and No I haven't done any overclocking.

Do you know the utilization of your cpu and gpu?

Do you know what your ram speed is rated for?

getting 2933mhz will help alot

My ram speed is 2400 and I think but I'm not sure I can't overclock it

For my CPU and GPU, I'll check the utilization however I also did a benchmark my cpu score degraded when my monitor was on g sync but when I turned it off my benchmark increased.
