Hello guys, I've a Ryzen 3 2200G paired with Corsair LPX 3000MHz 16GB ram and a Aorus B450M motherboard. I was trying to overclock my rig, so I started with CPU.

I reached to 3.9 GHz on 1.3 CPU voltage (stable), anything above that resulted in crash. So I bumped up the voltage to 1.39 to achieve 4.0GHz (stable). But when I apply any overclock to the GPU after keeping the CPU @ 4GHz, the system crashes. (Under stress test).

I'm doing all this on stock cooler (I was going to buy one, but Covid-19..) Months ago I was able to hit 4.2GHz CPU and 1650MHz on GPU at 96C stable, (I know 96 is very high) but now my system is not even letting me apply these settings(crashes). Any suggestions what component and how to overclock without any issues?

It looks like 3.9ghz is your limit with this cpu and cooler. Trust me, you're not gaining much overclocking another 200mhz...its not worth the added stress on your cpu. IMO, I would set it to 3.9ghz and run prime to stress test it for a few hours. If its stable and temps stay sane (below 80C), be happy with it.

@steelo What about the iGPU?

A few years ago, I built a 2200g system for my brother in law...I don't remember what I set the GPU frequency at, but it was pretty modest because I wanted it to be stable. I would increment the GPU by 50 mhz at a time, test for 10-15 minutes and if it's stable increase again by another 50 mhz. Once it crashes or gets too hot,back it down and retest for an hour or so. If it is stable, you are probably at the limit.
