Can't decide 270 vs 280x

I really cannot decide what to buy for my mining rig to start with.

280x has better kh/s but consumes more than the 270, but costs 120 $ more .

On the long term which one would benefit me more ?

well a higher hashrate would give u more coins
would u use the card for anything else? if not 270's price/performance is better in mining. just make sure to get it overclocked

just for mining, go for 270.

for both gaming and mining, go for 280x.

I don't intend to use it for anything else i just want to try to make some of the money back in few months for the card. and maybe buy another one of the same.

280x would produce more coins but will consume more energy too.

then just get a 270, then get another 270 with that mining money and just farm from therei think its like 2 270's = 100kh/s more than a avg 280x. if 280x has gone down to $300ish in your arwea it is a better buy otherwise get a 270

r9 280x is $390 (out of stock with that one $420 the cheapest ) :(

r9 270 is $255

the cheapest from both

And i think r9 270 comes with BF4 , so that has a resell value too

By your experience what do you think how many months would take me to mine out another 270 ?

id recomend if u try getting the twin frozer flavor of the 270 by msi because it only requires 1 6 pin so less power draw and u can have more cards on 1 psu

What I might do is wait for the Gtx 860 or 870s to come out using CUDA miner or get 5-6 750 Tis. The Maxwell architecture has great power consumption.

Do you think it will come out soon? ofcause we dont know, but the have released the 750ti, then the next Maxwell cards wouldent be long time away.
