I need help

hardensoul

I have a Gigabyte RTX 2070 super and a i7 9700k. I have a problem when I play games like COD, Csgo and R6. When Im about to load into Cod or R6, the whole pc freezes, my music stop, i cant click anything. the only thing i can do is move my cursor, so I have to shut down my pc. Its the same problem in Csgo, but instead its when I finish a game and Im about to choose a team. At first I thought that the temperatures were too high, so i under clocked and my pc still froze at 40-50 Celsius. Does anybody know why my pc keeps on freezing and how to fix the problem.

Have you tried looking at event viewer in windows to see if any issues were logged?

See if there are any warnings or critical errors that happen around the time stamp of your machine freezing up.

Those could be anything, you would have to dive into each event and see what they mean. Specifically the events that occur before the system restarts

You could always take the nuke it approach of re-installing windows as well.

Hit the plus signs to see all the logs. See if you have any critical ones.

Double click on the ones you want to see in detail and they'll look like this:
