what size ssd??

Hi, I am looking to buy this ssd - https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Extreme-Portable-SSD-Read/dp/B078STRHBX/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=sandisk+extreme+ssd&qid=1590431659&sr=8-3

I am going to be editing some final cut pro videos off it, store footage and the comopleted files and storing homework. I want it to be able to last a long time but do you think I should buy the 500gb version or the 1tb one?

I'd go with 1TB; better to have too much than not enough.
