My dads computer is getting a blue screen after boot up we think it is because the cpu is over clocked a bit to high.

My question is if you have a over clocking tool in the os will it over ride the over clock you set in the bios. in my case it is just the spec clock speed

If so how can i remove the os clocking tool

I would venture to guess that the BIOS overclock will override the software overclock. Try booting into the bios and reseting everything to factory settings. What software utility is being used for the overclock?

please list system specs. can get a better solution if members knew what they

were working with.

system should boot to BIOS easy enough, load optimized defaults and try from

there. it should overwrite any software changes.
