not sure what you mean by this.

The Crosshair VI Hero is an X370 motherboard, it has to be updated to at least BIOS 6808 (I think) for third gen support.

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/HelpDesk_BIOS/

Might as well make it as up to date as possible, or at least flash somewhere around 7201.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

what version are you running? Did this motherboard work with a different, early gen Ryzen CPU before?

Thankfully, if the BIOS flash failed, you can simply use the BIOS Flashback button with a different BIOS version and try again. Have you tried multiple versions?

You definitely want to try different versions, maybe even older versions and then flash to newer versions after that instead of trying to flash the newest version by itself.

I don't know the exact board behavior with BIOS flashback but leaving it in sounds fine.

This was asked earlier, but did this machine work with an older CPU before? Or is this a completely new setup?
