motherbard NEED HELP

It’s my first time buying a pc and i got a hero 6 wifi from asus and it says it need a bios update according to there website but when i do the light flashes for a little bit then it goes solid and according to people it’s not suppose to but idk what to do and i just want to be able to build my pc help me please before it’s to late to return the stuff thanks

What is your cpu ?

Is it the crosshair or the Maximus?
 

if it’s the Maximus, the socket is not compatible with a ryzen cpu. 
 

if it’s the crosshair, it’s an x370 chipset so it will require a bios update to be compatible. 
 

id recommend you switch it out for an X570 tuf, so you have no need for a bios update and guaranteed 4th gen support.

i was just able to do the bios update right now it worked i’m so thankful but it works now it blinking so it means it’s updating pretty sure i’m just gonna put everything back together any tips for when i’m setting up?
