So I own an Acer KG281K and recently found out it supports HDR and decided I wanted to try it out on my PC and when I turn it on in games the colours become 'bright' like really, REALLY bright.

So let me make a run down of what I've done;

I'm using HDMI as apperently the DP they give you with the monitor is 1.2 and can't run HDR over the line

I've Turned it on in my monitors settings. It gives me two options HDR: Off and HDR: Auto

I've tried it with HDR on and off in Windows 10 but they both turn out the same.

Oh and I'm using a 2080S so yes my GPU supports HDR

Why are my games really, REALLY bright?

Also, in the monitors settings, the DP format comes up as 1.2. If i was to buy a DP cable that is 1.4 would it still work and be able to use HDR or does the monitor not support HDR over DP as its only 1.2?
