Recently bought a couple things second hand again , and the cpu had a few bent pins , and in the process of bending back , I broke one off , it seems like it’s an easy pin to fix , but I’ve seen the video lol so I ain’t going to say it’s easy cause I’m probably fuck up another 3 pins while I try to put it back on . So instead of putting it back on , if I plan on never taking the cpu out of the mobo ever again .... could I put the pin in the socket , where’s it’s supposed to go obviously, and just hope my mounting pressure is hard enough ? And say by chance 5 years down the road I forget and want to take the cpu out , is this motherboard now dead to or is it salvageable?

i shit you not its the same cpu and im almost positive the same board XD to be honest i think mine is just a ground pin because its one near the edge. when i tested it , i tested it with the power supply i got from the person , and the desktop would start up , no display though , so no post , but after like 45 seconds it would shut it self down . is that something normal if i dont get a post ? cause ive never had this happen before. i thought it shutting down might be the power supply , and this mother board has an 8 pin cpu , and the only other working power supply i have with an 8 pin , is a graphic card 8 pin . does that make a difference? i thought it might because i tried it with another board i have that needed 8 pin cpu and it just flashed on , like leds came of for a brief moment and then nothing. THAT cpu i was told was dead and was just testing if the guy maybe just didnt know some things or other lol so before i plug things into where they shouldnt be and i end up shorting something out , if figured id ask lol
