Metro Exodus crashing

so I am playing metro exodus through game pass on pc and I have been having constant crashes, to the point where its nearly unplayable. After a lot of troubleshooting I have came to the conclusion that I need to change it to DX11 from DX12 to fix it. However there is no option to do so in the game settings. How do I change it to DX11?

I bought it via Steam and did not have it crash a single time. Caspian Sea chugged FPS a bit more than other levels, but never crashed.

 

Fantastic game.
