Conflicting info on AMD drivers for 5600 and 5700, are their updates competitive with nvidia?

All the info i can find is about a year ago or from a few month back that say their 5600 or 5700 cards still get crashes and blue screens etc.

I've been using gtx 970 for years now and i know that the first years were as rocky for me as described for rx 5000 series. But it seems

it's been updated out and made more stable. I have no experience with amd, so im wondering if its something that will get fixed or if it's

a problem for the minority? I guess my eventual question, is amd as good updating their drivers as nvidia is?

I want to like the 5700xt but I get a black screen often enough it makes it hard to recommend right now. If the new drivers are the fixed drivers, I am afraid to see how bad the old drivers were. I can count on getting a Black screen crash at least once a week. If I could still return my card I would do it.
